Working under the careful eye of General Manager Nicole Hewson, our culinary team brings old favourites and new discoveries to the table. Their creativity and attention to detail make every dish a success. With their help, the food at Nineteen really does speak for itself.

Head Chef Andrew Fung was classically trained in Europe and on Canada’s West Coast. His incredible work has earned him several culinary awards, including top honours at Edmonton’s Gold Plates competition and a ranking among Switzerland’s top six chefs at the 2003 Swiss Culinary Cup.

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re hiring an assistant manager to oversee daily front-of-house operations and guest experience at our Riverbend location in Edmonton, Alberta. The position starts in mid-July with shifts primarily on evenings and weekends. We offer a competitive salary, a complete benefits package, and opportunities to advance your hospitality career.

As assistant manager, you’ll be responsible for:

• Supervising restaurant operations
• Hiring, training, supervising, and motivating employees
• Assisting servers and hosts during peak hours
• Setting a positive example of friendly, professional service
• Ensuring customer and employee satisfaction
• Working closely with management to ensure quality food and environment
• Ensuring health, safety, and sanitation standards are followed
• Monitoring and reporting on inventory

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum three years’ hospitality experience
• Preferably at least one year of management experience

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES

• Positive personality and good interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Proficiency in basic math and in written and verbal English
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work without immediate supervision
